After researching a new exhibition Rising Up: 100 Years of Student Activism at UMD, our librarians uncovered many examples of student activism spanning the earliest years of the university, at the time know as the Maryland Agriculture College, through today. Use this list below to begin your own exploration of this topic.

The exhibition opens in September and the gallery will be open Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm, check online for closures related to University holidays.
